<p>Washington DC’s pride parade was halted near the intersection of 15th and P St NW on June 10 when protesters chanting “no justice, no pride” blocked a police cruiser and officers from continuing on with the march.</p><p>“There can be no pride for some of us without liberation for all of us,” the group’s website</a> said. In addition to protesting police brutality, the demonstrators protested “systems of oppression” and the pride organizers’ “deeply problematic corporate sponsors”</a>.</p><p>Reports</a> said the parade was rerouted to 16th St and continued.</p><br />
