<p>Orlando Police Department Chief John Mina and members of the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida</a> marked the first anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub attack</a> by lighting a memorial for its 49 victims.</p><p>The eight-foot-tall memorial art installation for the victims is made of 49 candles, each with a photo of one of the victims. The candles are surrounded with rainbow flowers and lilies. The memorial was lit for the first time at 9 am on June 12. It was also the first time that the GLBT Center opened its new facility</a> to the public, after being under renovation for the past two years.</p><p>The attack at the gay nightclub one year ago was the deadliest mass shooting in US history, leaving 49 dead and 53 injured.</p><br />
