Finsbury Park attack: Lily Allen deletes tweets after angry backlash as celebs pay tribute <br />CELEBRITIES have taken to social media to pay tribute to those affected by the terrorist attack in Finsbury Park. <br />One man died after pedestrians were targeted by a man driving a van near Finsbury Park Mosque in north London earlier today. <br />The suspect, described as a large white man, was arrested by police on suspicion of attempted murder. <br />Witnesses described hearing the man, who was detained by members of the public at the scene, shout: " I'm going to kill Muslims." <br />Lily Allen, 32, weighed in on the horrific event, which saw a van plough through people at a mosque in north London, speaking out on Twitter. <br />The singer claimed that the attacker had been "radicalised by the British media" in one of a string of tweets which she has since removed. <br />Lily explained that she was deleting her comments after receiving a barrage of abuse online, saying: " I'm deleting my tweets you all know where I stand on this. <br />"The replies I'm getting are abhorrent," she added. "This has attracted the worst of the worst." <br />One social media user hit out at Lily saying: "Talking s**t again I see. <br />"Your need for attention is out of control, maybe sit this one out," another added, while a third simply commented: "Bulls**t!" <br />Harry Potter author J.K. Rowing also hit out at the media coverage of the attack, saying: "Victim blaming in the usual newspapers is disgusting." <br />Meanwhile, many stars paid tribute to those affected by the incident which left 10 people injured. <br />X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary, 44, tweeted: "Sending love to Finsbury Park this morning." <br />"Very sad to her about the Finsbury Park terrorist incident," popstar Ellie Goulding, 30, added. <br />Model and DJ Ashley James, 31, took to Instagram to share a quote from Maya Angelou that read: "Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in this world, but it has not solved one yet." <br />Ashley added: "'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.' So sad to wake up to yet another terrorist attack in our beautiful, multi-cultural city. <br />"My thoughts are with all the innocent people affected, and I wish so much for peace," she said. <br />Peter Andre, 44, posted a tweet saying: "Listening to the news.
