<p>Grand Isle, Louisiana, residents were preparing for Tropical Storm Cindy on Tuesday, June 20. Workers have strengthened a recently-repaired levee, according to a news report</a>, and officials asked people to monitor weather reports.</p><p>The coastal community, popular for fishing, could see four to 15 inches of rain and a tidal surge of one to three feet, the report said.</p><p>The National Hurricane Center upgraded the system to a tropical storm on Tuesday, issuing tropical storm warnings</a> along the Louisiana coast.
