<p>Officials in the Florida panhandle were preparing for Tropical Storm Cindy on Wednesday, June 21, by closing beaches and putting measures in place to prevent flooding.</p><p>Navarre and Pensacola beaches were closed to swimmers on Wednesday, and the entrance to Gulf Islands National Seashore from Navarre Beach was also closed, according to a news report</a>. Roads remained open with hazards.</p><p>A flood warning also was in effect, and local officials said the area is at risk.
