<p>High tide, strong winds and weather from Tropical Storm Cindy caused water to reach buildings and homes along the Lake Pontchartrain waterfront in Mandeville, Louisiana, on Thursday, June 22.</p><p>The Times-Picayune reported</a> that Lakeshore Drive took on a couple feet of water. Mayor Donald Villere said only two structures had water inside. As of Thursday afternoon, the water was rising.</p><p>Villere told reporters the city fared well during Tropical Storm Cindy, which was downgraded to a tropical depression Thursday afternoon.
