Next Stop for Preet Bharara, Fired Prosecutor? His Brother’s Media Firm<br />By SYDNEY EMBERJUNE 25, 2017<br />Since Preet Bharara, the former United States attorney in Manhattan, was abruptly fired<br />in March by President Trump, speculation has swirled about what he would do next.<br />Mr. Bharara also expects to write articles for Some Spider’s news<br />and entertainment website, Cafe, and he and Vinit Bharara plan to introduce a conference, Cafe Con, next year.<br />Vinit Bharara, 45, said he projected that Some Spider would have more than $12 million in revenue this year and double that next year.<br />So joining an upstart media company and hosting a podcast might not seem the next logical step in Mr. Bharara’s career.<br />As the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York for more than seven years,<br />Preet Bharara, 48, was perhaps the most powerful federal prosecutor in the country.<br />He will also host a podcast called “Stay Tuned With Preet.” (The phrase “Stay Tuned” will sound familiar to anyone who attended his news conferences.)
