European Forum Looks at Productivity, and Britain Rules on Fox’s Sky Bid<br />Members of bank’s Monetary Policy Committee have become increasingly concerned about the rise in inflation as the value of the British pound has depreciated against the dollar<br />and other currencies since Britain voted last year to leave the European Union.<br />Within the report, the central bank’s Financial Policy Committee will lay out its assessment of the risks<br />and weaknesses in the financial system and any measures needed to address them, including tightening capital requirements for banks.<br />In August, the central bank set its benchmark interest rate at 0.25 percent, a historic low, on concerns that “Brexit” could weigh on economic growth.
