<p>Officers from East Hertfordshire Rural Police came across an unusual sight on July 5 – a slowly whirling “hay tornado” in a field near the village of Buntingford</p><p>“We’ve never seen this before, the farmer is upset as the straw is now in a mess,” the police tweeted.</p><p>They later corrected themselves in case they had offended any farmers, saying the material was “hay, not straw”.
