<p>A massive plume of smoke filled the sky near the Kennedy Space Center on July 10 after lightning caused a brush fire</a> nearby.</p><p>According to the US Fish and Wildlife Service Fire Management Division</a>, the brush fire grew to 50 acres, while firefighters proactively burned brush around the initial fire to contain it.</p><p>The smoke plume was visible from the Kennedy Space Center, as this video shows.
