But for one golden retriever in China, it’s making an impact on the local environment.<p>A golden retriever in the Jiangsu Province of China has removed more than 2,000 plastic bottles from rivers in the region, collecting an average of about 20 to 30 bottles a day.</p><p>The efforts come after more than 10 years of training. How does the dog do this? Saying the word, “retrieve,” sends the dog hunting for plastic.</p><p>With China accounting for 28 percent of the world’s plastic bottle demand, many of China’s rivers are heavily polluted as a result.
