<p>Flash-flood warnings were in place for large parts of Illinois in and around Chicago on Wednesday, July 12. Heavy rain overnight triggered flash flooding</a> for much of the region.</p><p>Police had to use rubber rafts to help motorists who were stranded because of high water in Fox Lake, according to a news report</a>.
