Donald Trump attended Friday the 'Bastille Day' parade in Paris which commemorates the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, an event that marked a turning point in the French Revolution. President Trump attended the event as French President Emmanuel Macron’s guest of honor,<br /> since this year's celebration also commemorates the 100th anniversary of the U.S. entry into the first world war.<br /> Eight U.S. planes joined the parade, along with a detachment of 145 troops on the ground. Trump and Macron witnessed the parade from a grandstand on the 'Place de la Concorde.'
