President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., has been asked to appear before US Senate committees next week.<br /><br />He will be asked questions about the Trump 2016 election campaign’s alleged connections to Russia. <br /><br />Two more close associates of the president have also been summoned. Former campaign manager Paul Manafort and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.<br /><br />All three men will speak to lawmakers investigating allegations that Russia tried to influence the US election last year. Both the Trump campaign and Moscow has repeatedly rejected the allegations. <br /><br />Meanwhile, according to a New York Times interview, President Trump said he would not have appointed Jeff Sessions as attorney general if he’d known Sessions would recuse himself from the Russia probe.<br />
