For weeks now, India and China have been involved in a border standoff going all the way back to war over the land 1962. India said it's now ready to talk with China about ending the standoff over the disputed territory in the Himalayan mountains. Tensions escalated last month after China began building a road known as the Doklam Plateau. The land, which is claimed by India's ally Bhutan, turned to India for military help to push China out.
