When rubbed against each other, the wool fibers interlock and condense into felt. <br /> <br />♥ HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE SOMETHING BY NEEDLE FELTING? <br /> <br />It can take about 10-20 minutes to create a very basic small heart or felt ball, to a few hours to create a more complex piece. The smaller and less complex the piece, the less time it will take to felt. Also, if you use a felting pen or a felting tool with multiple needles, it will significantly speed up the process. <br /> <br /> <br />♥ WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED FOR NEEDLE FELTING? <br />You will need felting wool and felting needle to get started. A felting mat is helpful but you can try using a folded up bath towel or a household sponge if you do not have a felting mat. It is also useful to get a felting pen, and felting thimbles. A felting pen will speed up the process and felting thimbles will protect your fingers.
