<p>Seven people were rescued when a seaplane made an emergency landing in New York City’s East River on Friday, July 21. A NYPD boat picked up the seven people, who were wearing life vests inside the plane, a news report said</a>.</p><p>No one was injured.</p><p>The flight originated in East Hampton and was bound for a marina at East 23rd Street on the river. It made the hard landing around 5:30 pm with firefighters responding a short time later.</p><p>A pontoon on the boat broke, which caused the plane to pull to the left before it landed in the river, the news report said.
