Chainsaw attacker injures at least 5 in Swiss town, manhunt continues

SCHAFFHAUSEN, SWITZERLAND — More than 100 police officers from both Switzerland and Germany are hunting for a man who attacked an insurance company with a chainsaw in a Swiss town on Monday. <br /> <br />The attacker has been identified as 51-year-old Franz Wrousis. He had been living in the woods for at least a couple of weeks and is described as "aggressive, dangerous and mentally conspicuous," according to Reuters. <br /> <br />In a photo released by Schaffhausen police, Wrousis is seen carrying a black duffel with a chainsaw inside. He then went on a rampage inside the CSS insurance office in the old town of Schaffhausen at around 10:30 a.m. At least five were injured and two with serious injuries. <br /> <br />Wrousis fled the scene before police arrived the scene at around 10:39 a.m. Police said he is still armed with the chainsaw and remain missing. <br /> <br />Police said the attack was not related to terrorism but it was clearly against the people at the insurance company. The exact motive is still under investigation. <br /> <br />Schaffhausen is located on the northern border with Germany. It has a population of 36,000 people.
