<p>Explosives blasted the area near the 1st Armoured Division Base in Sanaa on the morning of July 28, the day after Saudi Arabia said a Houthi missile was shot down</a> over its territory.</p><p>The Houthi missile was shot down in Taif province, 69 kilometers from Mecca, said the Saudi air force, claiming that</a> the missile was launched toward Mecca to disrupt the Hajj season.</p><p>Houthi spokespeople said that the missile’s target was the King Fahd airbase, more than 1,000 kilometers from Mecca, according to Yemen news agency Saba</a>.</p><p>Regular bombing raids have hit Sanaa since a Saudi-led coalition intervened in the country in 2015 to restore President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to power after he was ousted from by the Houthis.
