<p>Perth was struck by a severe weather front on Monday, July 31, that toppled trees and brought heavy rain.</p><p>According to Perth Now</a> the wild weather began at about 7am, bringing colder temperatures.</p><p>At about 1pm, the Bureau of Meteorology warned of damaging winds following a reading of 96km per hour gusts at Cape Leeuwin.</p><p>This footage shows trees down in Hamersley near the Warwick Grove Shopping Centre.
