<p>Transgender people protested in the town of Bannu in northwestern Pakistan on August 4. Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported that local authorities had banned transgender dance performances, cutting off a major source of revenue.</p><p>The Express Tribune</a>, in April, reported a crackdown against transgender people in Bannu.
