Supermarket chain Aldi is removing all eggs from sale at its stores in Germany.<br /><br />This as a precaution as a health scare over possible insecticide contamination spreads.<br /><br />A number of supermarket chains have taken Dutch eggs off their shelves, but Aldi is the first to stop all sales, regardless of origin.<br /><br />Aldi has more than 4,000 stores in Germany.<br /><br />Traces of the insecticide fipronil have been found in eggs in Belgium and the Netherlands, also leading to the shutdown of some poultry farms.<br /><br />Fiprinol is considered by experts to be moderately toxic, with high doses causing nausea and dizziness. Very large doses can cause organ damage.<br />
