A video has emerged from central China of a man trying in vain to rescue his car from deep floodwaters.<br /><br />In the clip, which was captured in Shiyan, Hubei Province on August 7, the man can be seen swimming around his submerged vehicle to the amazement of onlookers.<br /><br />The severe flash flooding in the area swept away cars, debris and even a load of watermelons.
