Juvenile Gray Whale Spotted In California Harbor

<p>A juvenile gray whale was spotted swimming amongst boaters and paddleboarders in Dana Point Harbor, California, on August 8.</p><p>The whale swam around the boats in the harbor, getting within inches of a pair of paddleboarders, while people looked on from the docks, as this video shows.</p><p>The 20-foot-long gray whale was first spotted</a> around 6:30 am by a paddleboarder, and later by an aerial photographer from Captain Dave’s Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari</a>.</p><p>A similar juvenile gray whale was spotted in Carlsbad Lagoon on August 7</a>, although it has not been confirmed if it is the same whale.
