Volunteers Fight Fire in Wake of Deadly Strikes on East Damascus Town

<p>At least five people were killed in strikes on the opposition-held town of Kafr Batna in east Damascus province on August 9, according to local reports</a>.</p><p>Pro-opposition media</a> blamed the Syrian government for the strikes, as the Syrian Army and its allies attempted to advance into areas east of Damascus.</p><p>Pro-government media</a> said the strikes hit “terrorist” positions in Kafr Batna and the nearby town of Hazeh.</p><p>This footage was shared by local media activists operating in the Damascus area.
