<p>Hundreds of thousands of people took to the roads of Mumbai on Wednesday, August 9, in the 58th protest organized by the Marathi Kranti Morcha group.</p><p>This footage shows marchers along Mumbai’s JJ Flyover.</p><p>The Marathi Kranti Morcha group represents people from India’s Maratha caste, which is predominantly made up of farmers. Decreasing agriculture profits and a lack of jobs and education opportunities have led to the group’s 57 prior protests. Wednesday’s march also saw demonstrators demanding justice for the rape and murder of a 14-year-old Maratha girl in July of last year, according to the Hindustan Times</a> and the Times of India</a>.
