<p>Newly released footage from police in Georgetown, Kentucky, shows an August 6 incident in which a drone was used to locate a burglar hiding on a rooftop.</p><p>The Georgetown Police Department stated that the incident occurred at approximately 1:45 am, after officers responded to a burglary alarm at a local business.</p><p>Officers located two suspects trespassing on the property and called for the GPD Drone Unit to help in apprehending a third suspect who was believed to still be in the area.</p><p>The drone footage shows the suspect seated in a corner of the building’s roof. The video stated that officers issued a verbal command before the man descended from the roof.</p><p>The video also stated that the unnamed suspect was taken into custody as a result of this operation.
