US Bomber Takes Off From Guam's Andersen Air Force Base

<p>The Department of Defense on August 11 published video showing the take-off on a training mission of a B-1 bomber from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The bombers form part of a “continuous bomber presence” in the Pacific.</p><p>On August 10 the US Pacific Command tweeted images of its aircraft, saying it was ready for combat “if called upon to do so,” as retweeted by US President Donald Trump a day later.</p><p>The tweet follows days of rising tensions between the US and North Korea, with Trump warning to rain down “fire and fury” if North Korea continued a series of nuclear and missile technology tests.
