<p>At least one person was killed and 19 injured when a car drove through a crowd of protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 12, according to the UVA Medical Center,</a> which provided treatment for victims.</p><p>The incident occurred shortly after a neo-Nazi protest and counter-protest were dispersed by police. Present in the area were both neo-Nazis and counter-protesters. The people in the path of the car were largely counter-protesters.</p><p>This video shows a commotion as the car plows through. In other videos</a>, the car was seen driving directly into people. The car rear-ended another vehicle; one person could be seen between the two bumpers and another person could be seen on the roof.</p><p>A state of emergency was earlier declared</a> by Governor Terry McAuliffe after violence had flared between the two groups.</p><p>Videos posted to a public story via Snapchat</a> were said to show the arrest of the driver.
