Do you think Social Darwinism is still making an impact today?<br /><br /> <br /><br />I really believe that social Darwinism is the tragedy of our society. Today we live in societies that are becoming more and more degenerate, and this situation is connected to Darwin's theory. On one hand we think that man must continue to grow and develop, and so must the society he lives in. In fact, there’s a hypothesis according to which the one who fails to enrich himself cannot be a successful person, and this is derived from an absolutely wrong logic. On the other hand, we have a social situation in which there is an exaggerated competition. Everybody worries only about his personal success and his satisfaction. This undoubtedly derives from Darwin's theory and from social Darwinism.
