A terrifying video has emerged from China of female bungee jumper detaching mid-air from the cord and falling 20 metres into the water below.<br /><br />In the footage, which was filmed in Beijing on August 18, the 17-year-old thrill-seeker performs the initial jump from the 55-metre platform successfully but as she bounces up and down, the bungee somehow detaches and she plunges about 20 metres into the water below.<br /><br />Amazingly, the woman escaped with only minor injuries.<br /><br />The accident was caused by human error, according to local reports.
