<p>Waves battered the coastal area of Hung Hom in Hong Kong as Typhoon Hato made landfall on August 23.</p><p>Typhoon Hato was ranked as a number 10 storm by the Hong Kong Observatory</a> – the highest out of the city’s eight storm warnings</a> at 9:10 am. According to the South China Morning Post</a>, this was the first time a number 10 signal has been issued since 2012.
