<p>Former King Juan Carlos of Spain was the surprise guest of honor at the opening of the former St. John the Baptist Church in Meath, Ireland, in July 2017.</p><p>The crowd in attendance let out gasps as he was introduced by Allen and Lorena Krause, who were responsible for the restoration. Local reports</a> said that the church will be used as an art space and community centre.</p><p>There was a Kickstarter page to fund the restoration of the building here</a>.
