Dramatic footage from China of a 40-year-old bridge plummeting into a river when it was demolished on Wednesday (August 30).<br /><br />The video, which was filmed in Chongqing, shows the Yujiang Bridge being demolished by explosives in just one second and then falling into the Yu river with a huge splash.<br /><br />According to local media, 10-thousand local residents were temporarily evacuated from the surrounding area.<br /><br />Local authorities decided the bridge was unsafe and are working to replace it.
