After composing the music of The Simpsons for 27 years... Alf Clausen has been fired by Fox. According to Variety, Clausen received a call from The Simpsons producer Richard Sakai, who informed him that the reason of his dismissal, was that the show was looking for<br />"a different kind of music." It is worth clarifying that the iconic opening melody of The Simpsons will remain the same, since it was composed by Danny Elfman.
