Australia is keeping its beaches safe from shark attacks with an unlikely ally that never touches the water: drones.<br /><br />Some Australian beaches are being patrolled by battery-powered drones that send live video feeds to shark-spotting software. The software can identify sharks, and can trigger speakers on the drones to warn swimmers in case of nearby danger. <br /><br />If only they'd had this technology in "Jaws," the movie would have been over in 20 minutes.
