Footage has emerged farmers taking on swarms of locusts in northern China, where nearly a thousand acres of corn fields have been destroyed.<br /><br />The video, filmed in Anqiu county in northern Shandong Province on September 7, shows locusts filling the sky above the crops.<br /><br />Men can be seen attempting to catch the insects with nets. <br /><br />According to local reports, drones were deployed to "fight" the locusts and the situation is now nearly under control.<br /><br />Local media said 825-acres of crops were affected.
