Apple Watch Series 3 UK release - Two key things you need to know before buying one <br />With a 50 per cent year-on-year growth the Apple Watch is now the world's best selling watch, outperforming the likes of Rolex and Fossil. <br /> <br />And things could be about to get even better for this wearable tech with the launch of the all-new Apple Watch Series 3. <br /> <br />The US technology giant revealed its latest smartwatch during a major launch event at its new HQ in Cupertino on Tuesday. <br /> <br />And this upgraded device has one major advantage over its predecessors as is now includes cellular technology. <br /> <br />This means it works without your iPhone, allowing it to take calls, stream music and send messages completely independently. <br /> <br />This mobile technology will certainly be welcomed by those who don't always want to carry their phone with them but there are a couple of key things you should know before ordering this tech timepiece. <br /> <br />Apple has revealed that EE is currently the only UK network that is compatible with the Series 3 smartwatch. <br /> <br />This means, to get the most out of it, owners will need to switch to the network to access the celluar features. <br /> <br />It's currently unclear when, or if, other networks will begin working with the new Apple Watch although it's likely more will join in the coming months. <br /> <br />Even if you are with EE there's also something else you should be aware of as it will add to your monthly mobile bill. <br /> <br />Although it's not confirmed, it's thought EE will charge around £5 per month to allow customers to get data and take calls on the new Series 3 Watch. <br /> <br />Speaking about the launch, Marc Allera, CEO at EE said: “iPhone & Apple Series 3 Cellular allow our customers to make the most from the latest 4G technology we’re delivering across the UK. <br /> <br />"Whether it’s training in the gym or running a marathon, only on EE will Apple Series 3 Cellular give customers more freedom to remain connected so they can make calls, respond to messages and listen to their music while leaving their phone at home.”
