A British tourist has recorded a dramatic video account of Hurricane Irma hitting a hotel she was staying at in the Turks and Caicos Islands.<br /><br />Teenager Madison Chase from Norwich calmly filmed the scene a few hours before the storm hit showing that hotel staff had boarded up windows in preparation for Irma.<br /><br />She then filmed again from her hotel room window as the hurricane struck, showing incredibly high winds bending palm trees and rain lashing the hotel resort.<br /><br />Chase headed out of her hotel room once Irma had passed over and filmed fallen trees, flattened fences and a damaged pergola.<br /><br />The storm caused extensive flooding and damaged many homes on the islands southeast of the Bahamas.
