Ben and Bambi\r<br>This is the real life Bambi story youve been waiting for. Svetlana Harper happened to find a poor little fawn on the side of the road who was laying next to the body of her dead mother. Harper brought the baby deer home and cared for it, nursing it back to health. When Bambis health was finally stable enough, Harper started to introduce her to other animals. Bambi instantly became best friends with Harpers pet rabbit Ben and the two have been best friends ever since.\r<br>\r<br>8. Themba and Albert\r<br> Themba was a just a baby when he lost his mother and the veterinarians at the Shamwari Game Reserve prayed that another elephant would eventually adopt him. None of them would allow poor Themba to nurse. The team cared for him with constant attention but he became too depressed and eventually stopped eating. It was then that Themba was introduced to a sheep on a nearby farm named Albert. At first, there was hesitation but the two would later become the best of friends and Albert would return to eating. \r<br>\r<br>7. Owen and Mzee\r<br>A tsunami had managed to separate a hippo named Owen from his parents and was swept away by the strong tide. Wildlife rangers at an animal sanctuary in Kenya took in the young hippo and placed him in the same pen with a 100-year-old turtle named Mzee. Owen became so attached to the tortoise that he ed like it was his mother and would oftenas a protector if someone got too close to Mzee. Owen stayed with Mzee up until 2007 when he was introduced with the other hippos. \r<br>\r<br>6. A Deer and a Goose\r<br> This next story isnt really about a friendship but more like a partnership. Back in new, a goose happened to lay her eggs in an urn at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Buffalo. It was some time later that this male deer appeared and began to stand guard over the soon-to-be-mother. When strangers would try to get near the goose the deer would make sure that they wouldnt get too close. This went on for three weeks until the eggs hatched and the deer slipped back into the forest. \r<br>\r<br>5. Anjana and Tiger Cubs\r<br>It was during a hurricane that these two baby white tigers were split from their mother after her pen had flooded. Thankfully they were rescued and taken in by an animal reserve here in the U.S. Theyre being cared for by caretaker China York and her chimpanzee named Anjana. Anjana has raised several different types of animals so this is no sweat for her. \r<br>\r<br>4. Koko and All Ball\r<br> Koko the gorilla is perhaps one of the most famous primates to be studied in all of history. Shes known for her amazing ability to speak through means of American Sign Language. It was back in 1984 when she asked her caretakers if she could get a pet cat and picked out a gray one that she named All Ball. Koko was a great owner, unfortunately, All Ball was killed by a car in an accident and Koko became very distressed. Since then, shes owned many more pets. \r<br>\r<br>3. Milo and Bonedigger\r<br> When bonedigger was just a small lion cub, he was diagnosed with having a metabolic bone disease that would eventually leave him disabled. It was around the same time that this little dachshund named Milo took Bonedigger under his care. After all those years, the 500-pound lion is still the bffs with 11-pound Milo and two other dogs named Bullet and Angel.\r<br>\r<br>2. Chito and Pocho\r<br> This man named Gilberto “Chito” Shedden from Costa Rica came across a crocodile one day and noticed that he had been shot in the eye and left to die. Chito took the large reptile back to his home and nursed the crocodile back to health. When he was strong enough, Chito tried to release the croc but it wouldnt leave and instead followed him back home. Chito named him Pocho and they would spend the next 20 years together. Sadly, Pocho passed away in new at the age of 50 due to natural causes. \r<br>\r<br>1. Shere Khan, Baloo, and Leo\r<br> This trio of friendship spanning through three different species of animals is nothing short of remarkable. The three animals were held captive by a drug dealer that would severely abuse them. Baloo the bear had a harness that grew into his skin because it was never adjusted and caused deformities. These days they live together at the Noahs Ark Animal Sanctuary here in the U.S. and have become inseparable because of what they experienced.
