This video show how to make a good riser for a pvc bow. Normally on pvc bow an arrow shelf is something that you stick on the side of the bow. But usually a more normal bow has a sight window with an arrow shelf at the bottom cut into the riser. Also the handle is usually carved to fit a human hand nicely.
