Petunia, a 2-year-old American Pit Bull terrier, was picked up last Monday after she was hit by a car. The Arizona Humane Society's Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital treated her for severe road rash wounds, a bloody nose and paw injuries. They say her paw pads were torn and burnt from walking on hot pavement for at least several days.
