FIFA have announced their three contenders for ‘The Best Men’s Player of the Year’ award and there are few surprises. <br /><br />Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line after guiding Real Madrid to a Champions League and La Liga double.<br /><br />The Portuguese star is joined by Lionel Messi for the prestigious prize, which was introduced last year. <br /><br />The football world governing body revamped its awards after ending its association with French Football’s Ballon d’Or. <br /><br />Along with Ronaldo and Messi, Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar will make up the shortlist. <br /><br />The winner will be handed the ultimate crown on October 23 in London. <br /><br />The final three choices for FIFA’s manager of the year award were also unveiled. <br /><br />Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane will be seeking to become the first person to claim a best player and coach award. <br /><br />But the Frenchman will face stiff competition from two Italians. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and Juventus’ Massimilliano Allegri.<br />
