A delivery drone from Johns Hopkins University has set a new distance record for transporting medical samples.<br /><br />The drone recently flew 161 miles across the Arizona desert for more than three hours, while carrying blood sample test tubes. <br /><br />Johns Hopkins researchers say that drone delivery is the safest and speediest way to transport samples from remote patients to a laboratory. They believe this speed will make diagnoses and patient care more efficient.
