The United Nations envoy to Syria has proposed a way to bring an end to the two years of fighting in Aleppo. The northern city is the biggest in the country and was occupied by anti-government rebels in 2012. <br /><br />Since then, the army's been trying to retake it. The UN plan suggests agreeing a series of localised ceasefires - an idea that President Assad says is ''worth studying'.
