Subscribe: \r<br>BUY MY COOKBOOK: \r<br>Subscribe to our NEWSLETTER here: \r<br>Read the blog post here: \r<br>Learn how to make cotton candy cupcakes from scratch.\r<br>\r<br>Our How to Make Cotton Candy Video: \r<br>\r<br>Cotton Candy Cupcakes:\r<br>• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour\r<br>• 1 teaspoon baking powder\r<br>• 1/4 teaspoon salt\r<br>• 1/2 cup butter\r<br>• 1 cup sugar\r<br>• 2 eggs\r<br>• 1/2 cup milk\r<br>• 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring\r<br>• 1 cup cotton candy (do not pack)\r<br>• Pink/blue/purple gel paste\r<br>\r<br>Cotton Candy Buttercream:\r<br>• 1 cup butter \r<br>• 2 cups icing sugar\r<br>• 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring\r<br>• 2 tablespoons milk\r<br>• 1 cup cotton candy\r<br>\r<br>Procedure:\r<br>Cupcakes\r<br>Preheat oven to 350F. Line cupcake pan with liners.\r<br>In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside for later. \r<br>In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. \r<br>Add the cotton candy flavouring and mix it in. \r<br>Alternating between additions of milk and the flour mixture, mix until the batter is smooth. \r<br>Mix the cotton candy in last. \r<br>Divide batter into three equal portions and colour one portion purple, one blue, and one pink. \r<br>Place a tablespoon of each colour into the cupcake liners, or fill until the well is 3/4 full. \r<br>Bake cupcakes for 20 minutes. Allow to cool completely. \r<br>\r<br>Buttercream\r<br>Cream butter in bowl of stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. \r<br>Add icing sugar, milk and flavouring.
