Our founder, Prof. Neil Barron, gave Matthew ‘Pritch’ Pritchard an interesting challenge. Neil told Pritch to try his best to break our Litelok Gold bike lock. So Pritch paid us a visit to our premises in Swansea and got to it. We gave Pritch an arsenal of tools that thieves would use, and did not give him any instruction, wanting to see how Pritch would perform. Despite his best attempts, using tools like crowbars and bolt cutters, Pritch did not succeed in breaking our bike lock. He didn’t even come close to breaking our bike lock! In case you don’t know, Pritch used to star on MTV’s popular stunt show called Dirty Sanchez. He has since hung up his daredevil shoes, and become an endurance athlete, once completing 30 half Ironmans in 30 days.

Litelok Gold is the world’s lightest, flexible Gold-rated bicycle lock. It is the brainchild of Prof. Neil Barron, a former Aeronautical Engineer (Rolls-Royce aero engines), designer and avid cyclist. Litelok Gold has undergone years of research, development, engineering and testing. Our goal was to produce a lightweight high-security bike lock, which we have achieved. Our bike lock has also been independently tested by Sold Secure, achieving their top rating of Sold Secure Bicycle Gold. We were awarded Best Cycling Innovation at the London Cycling Awards in 2017 and also Best Foldable Lock by Cycling Plus in 2017.
