<p>Leaks at the World Trade Center in Manhattan sent water cascading down stairways and trapped people inside elevators on September 26.</p><p>The water came from an air conditioning leak that poured into staircases, triggering the alarm system and halting two elevators in the building</a>. A handful of people were briefly trapped inside the elevators.
