Phil Perrier and I sit down to discuss important funny comedy movies that may have been overlooked by recent history and pop culture.

Phil is on a mission to make America laugh.

Note: The English Muffin is just a delivery device for the cream cheese.

His list includes:

1. "Slapshot" with Paul Newman: The quintessential '70s comedy. Directed by George Roy Hill
Struther Martin plays the manager of a struggling Hockey team in a small town.

2. "The Ritz" - Jack Weston, Jerry Stiller, F. Murray Abraham and Treat Williams - This movie is about a guy running from the mob in the late 70s in New York City.

3. Planes Trains and Automobiles, John Candy and Steve Martin in their prime!

4. Also The Out Of Towners with Steve Martin and Gold Hawn.

We somehow went off on a tangent about Sylvester Stallone being a mugger and getting mugged in movies before he became a star and I talked about my first co-star role on NBC in 1994 as The Mugger in the episide "The Mugging" of "The Single Guy starring Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernie's) with Guest Star Julia Lewis-Dryfus. That episode was fun except the producer and director got into a fight over how I should hold the gun in the scene and it didn't end well fo rme who was in the middle of it! Thanks Hollywood!

I then do a Woody Allen impression and threaten to hit Phil with a polo mallet.

5. Broadway Danny Rose as a hardened, brassy character who is a lounge singer. Woody Allen plays a cheap sleazy third rate talent manager.

6.Murder by Death! A Murder Mystery (See Sharpo!®) Dinner Party where the greatest sleauths in the world are invited. Peter Falk, Truman Capote, Peter Sellers, David Niven, Maggie Smith,, James Coco, Alec Guinness. A tight, Agatha Christie type of mystery with lots of laughs and mystery!

7. The Big Lebowski - Deeply engrained in the pop culture: Jeff Bridges, Steve Buscemi, John Goodman, Phillip Seymore Hoffman, and John Turturro. A stellar cast. Had to bleep out Phil's favorite quote.

Please subscribe and comment below!

Your Ticket To Fun!

Subscribe To Our Youtube Channel!

Shot on the Galaxy 7 Selfie Side
Edited on imovie by Eric Sharp
Original Music By Eric Sharp made on garageband
Sharpo!® logo by Mark Dunn
Additional Sound Effects and Music by imovie
Thumbnail free from
