Emad Tammo, the Yazidi boy who was held in captivity by the Islamic State for three years, has been reunited with his family.

Emad was taken by ISIS in August 2014. His mother managed to escape to Mexico, along with a few of Emad's siblings, but she knew nothing about the fate of her son.

Today, Emad, now 13, is almost unrecognizable compared to how he looked when he was rescued by the U.N. refugee agency.

Emad, who now looks happy and healthy while surrounded by the love of his family, is living in Canada, learning to speak Kurdish again and adjusting to his new life.
